Your hands driving a Vespa, the iconic scooter of the Italian "dolce vita", the gentle breeze on your face, the fascinating ancient roads of Florence under your wheels, from the magnificent views of medieval and Renaissance buildings up to the iconic panoramic view of Piazzale Michelangelo with churches and gardens in your eyes.
There is no more exciting way to discover Florence than zipping through its historical centre and its green outskirts with a Vespa.

Choose the morning or the afternoon departure, with 2 price levels (ORIGINAL and SMART).
First, receive an orientation conducted by an English speaking trained professional, ensuring the safe operation of the Vespas before heading out for your engaging and enjoyable ride.
Then start riding following the Ape Calessino, the three wheeled Vespa from the Sixties (an Italian Tuk Tuk), which acts as support vehicle and which will lead the small swarm of Vespas, conducted by our tour leader.
Starting from the medieval heart of Florence, zip through ancient tower houses and churches, catching the eyes of people you pass by, as you head toward the Lungarni, the open, straight sunny roads that run along the Arno river, framed by magnificent noble palaces.
A gorgeous view of Pontevecchio (the old bridge) will surprise you, as you cross the river and head toward the best viewpoint on Florence, the famous Piazzale Michelangelo, on the first hills that surround the city.
Driving back through the city center there will be plenty of photos opportunities as you drive and stop by the most famous landmarks of Florence: the Duomo (cathedral), Piazza Santa Maria Novella, Piazza Santa Croce...and much much more.
Drive a vespa in the narrow streets as you get aquaintanced with the history and the vibe of the city.

To ride an AUTHENTIC PIAGGIO VESPA, the Italian design icon, and have the OFFICIAL T-SHIRT included, choose the ORIGINAL "SINGLE" option (EUR 90) or STUDX1 (EUR 76,5), if you are a student
Choose the "SMART" option (for only EUR 69) to ride a smaller PIAGGIO ZIP scooter.
GET THE ENDOUBLE ORIGINAL VESPA, BRINGING YOUR PASSENGER, AND PAY ONLY €150 FOR THE 2 OF YOU! (option "DOUBLE", or "STUDx2" in case you are students)
Service is operated with original PIAGGIO 50cc Scooters, the authentic VESPA and the smaller and easier ZIP (SMART). We also provide APE CALESSINO (3 wheeled Vespa, driven by a tour leader) as alternative if you do not feel comfortable driving.
A valid driver's license is required and you must be at least 18 years of age. However, you do not need a motorcycle license. If you do not feel comfortable driving, you can choose to ride as a passenger with your partner.
Mileage: about 10 miles round-trip (16 kms)
Terrain: paved roads
Difficulty: HIGH. Average speed 20 km/h (12.5 mls/h). Due to some congestion and heavy traffic spots, pedestrian suddenly crossing the roads, stoned roads and other city threats, PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN DRIVING A MOTOR BIKE IS REQUIRED.

A valid driving license is required(although you do not need a motorcycle license) and you must be at least 18 years of age to drive, at least 13 years to be a passenger.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED: the city center of Florence can be congested at times and some narrow streets with pedestrians suddenly crossing might be a challenge if you are not used to drive a scooter.
If you don't feel ready, we suggest you to take part of our Tuscany By Vespa tour, which is slightly easier.
We reserve the right of final judgement in client participation of actual scooter driving or in client being a passenger, or to discontinue scooter use at any point of the tour. Any participant unable to drive scooters safely may ride double with a partner, or on the guide’s scooter if available or continue the tour on board one of our support vehicles (the Tuscany Tuk Tuk or the minivan, depending which is available) if unable to be a safe passenger as well. NO REFUNDS will be granted in this case.
OUR FIRST AND FOREMOST CONCERN IS EVERYONE’S SAFETY.
The tour is run with authentic PIAGGIO VESPAs, but clients can choose the SMART option which will have them ride a PIAGGIO ZIP scooter (which is lighter and easier to ride).
A THIRD-PARTY insurance for civil liability is INCLUDED in the price of the tour. PLEASE NOTE that clients will be given the OPTION TO SUBSCRIBE AN ADDITIONAL INSURANCE AGAINST VEHICLE DAMAGES FOR €20.
Please let us know in advance any special need or impaired mobility of the clients and we will do our best to accomodate them.
The tour departure will never be cancelled due to rain.
We will do our best to proceed with the tours, avoiding the rain and thus possibly carrying out the tour with our minivan until and if the rain should stop and street conditions will guarantee a safe ride. If it does not stop raining, the entire tour will be conducted in the safety and comfort of the minivan.
Guest options on rainy days:
1) Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather – PARTIAL RIDE or NO RIDE due to heavy RAIN
Customers can decide to proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather with the understanding that if scooters are not ridden at all due to rain, or if the Vespa tour is dramatically abbreviated due to rain, customers originally booked as DRIVER will receive a 30 Euros REFUND, while customers originally booked as PASSENGER will NOT be granted any refund or discount. We will do our best to get you on a scooter, weather permitting.
2) 50% refund for client cancellation.
3) Rain check to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date. It has a value that can be possible used in any other tour provided by our company.
Please note that clients' safety and comfort are of utmost priority, and proper rain gear is mandatory for guests choosing to "ride in the rain".
